Don Herbert, who introduced millions of youngsters to the fascination and fun of science in the 1950s and '60s as television's Mr. Wizard, died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles. He was 89. Here's the obit from the New York Times. You can also visit Mr. Wizard's website for more information about Herbert, or to order your own Mr. Wizard memento.
